A bunch of teenagers hailing from greater Boston in the mid-90s, Skavoovie and the Epitones were on the the forefront of what became known as "third-wave ska." Their youthful music was heavily inspired by traditional '60s ska, filtered through a lens of their era and the varied musical interests of the ten members. Beginning with their debut on the venerable indie Moon Ska label, they played and recorded, people danced, and fun was had by all.
